The Teltonika OTD500 is a rugged outdoor 5G router developed specifically for reliable wireless connectivity in industrial outdoor environments where weather resistance, operational continuity and ease of installation are critical requirements. The device features an IP55-rated enclosure manufactured from PC+ASA plastic, providing protection against dust ingress and water jets from all directions, making it suitable for permanent outdoor deployment. The integrated mounting bracket enables rapid wall or pole installation without additional tools or mounting hardware.
The OTD500 is equipped with a 5G Sub-6GHz SA/NSA module based on 3GPP Release 16, supporting download speeds of up to 2.4/3.4 Gbps and upload speeds of up to 900/550 Mbps. Dual SIM card slots combined with an integrated eSIM provide automatic SIM switching based on signal quality, data limit, roaming status or network availability, guaranteeing network redundancy and maximum uptime. The two Gigabit Ethernet ports support PoE-in (802.3af/at) and PoE-out (802.3af Alternative B, maximum 15 W), enabling power and data delivery over a single cable and significantly simplifying installation at locations without a dedicated power supply.
The device supports industrial protocols including Modbus TCP, DNP3, DLMS/COSEM and OPC UA, enabling direct integration with SCADA systems and IIoT infrastructure. The OTD500 operates on RutOS, an OpenWrt-based Linux operating system, and features a comprehensive VPN suite including OpenVPN, IPsec, WireGuard, ZeroTier and Tailscale.
The device is certified to CE, UKCA, RCM and CB standards and is fully compatible with the Teltonika Remote Management System for centralised remote management. An operating temperature range of -40 °C to 55 °C makes the OTD500 suitable for deployment across a broad range of climatic conditions, from arctic winter environments to warm industrial outdoor sites.
