The Pepperl+Fuchs Tab-IND 08 WIN is an industrial rugged tablet built for daily use on the shop floor, whether that is a production plant, a warehouse or an automotive assembly line. Inside a slim 12.5 mm chassis weighing approximately 550 g sits an Intel N100 quad core at 2.9 GHz that runs Windows 11 LTSC 64 Bit smoothly, backed by 8 GByte of RAM and 128 GByte of UFS storage. The 8.4 inch WUXGA display with 700 cd/m² brightness stays readable in direct sunlight, with rain on the screen, or with cotton gloves on. The IP65 housing keeps dust and splashing water out, ideal for dirty work environments and outdoor use. Wireless connectivity covers Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, GNSS including GPS and Galileo, plus a front facing NFC Secure Element for secure payments, authentication and access control. The replaceable 26.95 Wh battery and the SmartBack interface on the back make the Tab-IND truly modular, click on a Scanner Frame, Battery Extension, VESA mount, magnetic card reader or payment module and the device adapts to the task. Pepperl+Fuchs develops this tablet in house and guarantees at least 5 years of device availability along with regular software updates. Note that this model is a Non-Ex variant and is not ATEX or IECEx certified for use in explosive atmospheres.
