The Teltonika RUT241 is an ultra-compact industrial 4G LTE router developed as the successor to the best-selling RUT240, designed for reliable mobile connectivity in IoT and M2M applications where minimal installation space and maximum reliability are paramount requirements. The device is equipped with a 4G LTE Cat 4 module supporting download speeds of up to 150 Mbps and upload speeds of up to 50 Mbps, with automatic fallback to 3G and 2G in areas with limited network quality.

The external Mini-SIM holder and automatic WAN failover via mobile, wired or Wi-Fi WAN guarantee continuous connectivity in the event of connection failures. The two Fast Ethernet ports, one WAN and one LAN, provide 10/100 Mbps wired connectivity compliant with IEEE 802.3 and 802.3u standards, while Wi-Fi based on IEEE 802.11b/g/n in both access point and station modes enables wireless connectivity for up to 50 simultaneous users.

The RUT241 features one digital input and one open-collector digital output on the 4-pin industrial power connector, enabling direct integration with sensors, alarm systems and PLC applications without additional interface hardware. The I/O Juggler functionality enables automation of actions based on I/O conditions directly on the device, without an external controller or additional PLC. Industrial protocols including Modbus TCP and DNP3 are natively supported, facilitating direct integration with SCADA systems and telemetry infrastructure.

The device operates on RutOS, an OpenWrt-based Linux operating system, and supports a comprehensive VPN suite including OpenVPN, IPsec, WireGuard, DMVPN and ZeroTier.
