The HMD Terra M is an ultra-rugged enterprise smart feature phone developed by HMD Secure for deployment by frontline teams, critical infrastructure operators, emergency services, government agencies, and industrial organisations requiring reliable communications in demanding environments.

The device is certified to IP68 and IP69K for protection against prolonged submersion to a depth of 1.5 metres for 30 minutes and against high-pressure water jets, drop-tested to 1.8 metres in accordance with MIL-STD-810H, and operational across a temperature range of -25°C to +55°C.

The platform is built around the Qualcomm Dragonwing QCM2290 (11 nm) with a quad-core Cortex-A53 processor up to 2.0 GHz and Adreno 702G GPU, paired with 2 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage expandable via microSD up to 1 TB. The 2.8-inch TFT LCD display (640×480, 286 ppi) is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3, reaches 550 nits HBM brightness, and is operable with gloves and wet fingers.

Communication functionality is central to the device: the loudspeaker delivers up to 100 dB, two programmable hardware keys provide direct Push-to-Talk (PTT) and SOS emergency call functionality, integration with Zello and Mobile Tornado PTT services is included, and a dual-microphone array with echo and noise cancellation ensures clear voice quality in high-noise environments.

Connectivity encompasses 4G LTE (Cat 13), VoLTE, VoWiFi, hotspot, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2.4 and 5 GHz), Bluetooth 5 LE, NFC (no payments), dual nano-SIM with eSIM, USB Type-C 2.0 with OTG, and support for A-GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, and Galileo. The 2510 mAh battery delivers up to 10 days of standby time and charges fully in 3 hours via USB-C, while two Pogo-pin connectors support cradle charging for fleet management via the optional stackable charging station for up to 10 simultaneous devices.

HMD Secure provides five years of quarterly security updates and one operating system upgrade from the global launch date, with full support for Mobile Device Management (MDM) for secure fleet deployment.
