The Motorola R7EX FKP UHF ATEX IIC is a professional digital two-way radio (DMR and analogue) for use in potentially explosive atmospheres. The radio is ATEX and IECEx certified to II 2G Ex ib IIC T4 Gb and II 2D Ex ib IIIC T130°C Db. This makes it suitable for Zone 1/21 and, thanks to the IIC classification, also for environments with hydrogen and other highly explosive gases.
With a 1.7 inch colour display, a full keypad, 1000 channels across 250 zones and 6 programmable buttons, the R7EX is built for teams in petrochemicals, offshore, shipping and heavy industry. The speaker delivers up to 108 phons and AI-trained noise suppression with SINC+ keeps speech intelligible in noisy installations.
For worker safety the R7EX offers an emergency button, Lone Worker, Man Down and Fall Alert. Bluetooth 5.2 connects wireless accessories, Wi-Fi (2.4 and 5 GHz, WPA3) enables over-the-air software updates and GNSS (GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou and Galileo) reports the location.
The housing meets IP66 and IP68 (2 metres, 2 hours) and MIL-STD-810, and withstands disinfection and decontamination agents. The 2150 mAh battery lasts up to 23.5 hours (digital) and the radio operates at temperatures from -30 °C to +60 °C.
