Teltonika RUTX50, Industrial 5G Router for Data-Intensive Applications
The Teltonika RUTX50 is a high-performance industrial 5G router engineered for data-intensive applications requiring ultra-fast connectivity, network redundancy and extensive integration capabilities. The device is equipped with a 5G Sub-6GHz SA/NSA module delivering download speeds of up to 2.1/3.3 Gbps and upload speeds of up to 900/600 Mbps via a 3GPP Release 16 modem with 4x4 MIMO antenna configuration.
The RUTX50 features five Gigabit Ethernet ports consisting of one WAN port and four LAN ports, compliant with IEEE 802.3, 802.3u and 802.3az standards. Dual-band Wi-Fi 5 based on 802.11ac Wave 2 provides wireless data rates up to 867 Mbps with MU-MIMO technology and support for up to 150 simultaneous wireless clients.
Two physical Mini-SIM slots combined with an integrated eSIM provide three independent connectivity pathways with automatic switching based on signal quality, data limit, roaming status or network availability. The device incorporates an integrated GNSS module supporting GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo and QZSS, enabling location determination and tracking for both mobile and stationary applications. Industrial protocols including Modbus TCP, DNP3, DLMS/COSEM and OPC UA are natively supported, enabling direct integration with SCADA systems, smart grids and telemetry infrastructure. The RUTX50 operates on RutOS, an OpenWrt-based Linux operating system, and supports a comprehensive VPN suite including OpenVPN, IPsec, WireGuard, DMVPN, ZeroTier and Tailscale.
The aluminum enclosure provides mechanical robustness and is certified to CE, UKCA, RCM and CB standards, with an operating temperature range of -40 °C to 75 °C and an IP30 ingress protection rating. Power is supplied via a 4-pin industrial DC connector with a wide input range of 9 to 50 VDC, supplemented by passive PoE input via LAN1 (Mode B, 9-30 VDC).
