The BARTEC TC78ex-NI is a rugged touch computer in smartphone format, based on the Zebra TC78 and approved for ATEX/IECEx/UKEX Zone 2/22 and NEC Class I, II, III Div. 2. It is thinner and lighter than previous generations and handles scanning, calls, video and apps in hazardous areas.
The 6-inch Full HD+ display with Gorilla Glass works with bare fingers, gloves or stylus. Inside is a Qualcomm 6490 octa-core processor with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage (microSD up to 2 TB), running Android™ 14 with support for future versions up to Android™ 16.
The Zebra SE55 Advanced Range scan engine reads 1D and 2D barcodes from close up to 12 metres. Dual scan buttons and a dedicated push-to-talk button speed up the work; with Zebra Workforce Connect PTT Pro your team can communicate instantly.
For connectivity the TC78ex-NI offers 5G (nano SIM + eSIM), Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC and GNSS. Zebra's free Mobility DNA tools are pre-installed, so devices are easy to deploy, secure and manage.
The device is IP68 rated and survives multiple 3.05 m drops to concrete and 2,000 tumbles from 1 m.
Please note: Charging accessories are not included. Change and charge the battery outside the hazardous area only.
