The PIXAVI Cam was used for many years for safe photo and video documentation in ATEX environments. Now that this device is officially end‑of‑life, BARTEC introduces the SP9EX1 Camera as its direct replacement. This version is specifically a camera‑only model, designed for situations where equipment without any mobile network connectivity is required.
From PIXAVI Cam to a modern Camera
The SP9EX1 Camera continues the same function as the PIXAVI Cam but with clear technological improvements. The device captures visual material with a 48 MP main camera that performs better in low‑light conditions and also supports 4K video, allowing inspections and maintenance documentation to be recorded in much greater detail than before.
Despite its smartphone‑like appearance, the SP9EX1 is not a phone. A camera‑only approach was chosen intentionally, so the device can be safely used in locations where mobile data connections are not permitted, just like its predecessor.
Suitable for digital workflows in the ATEX zone
Captured material can be easily processed in modern reporting systems and documentation tools. Thanks to the internal hardware, including a Qualcomm QCM6490 processor, 8 GB RAM and 128 GB of storage, large photo and video files are stored and processed quickly and without delays.
With IP68 protection and testing in accordance with MIL‑STD‑810H, the SP9EX1 Camera is built for use in demanding industrial conditions such as chemical plants and process environments where vibration, moisture and temperature fluctuations occur daily.
